I'm a "flockin" failure lol. I'm going to try acrylic gel medium next time which has a much longer open time than white glue, and I know now not to place the cool mist humidifier right next to me when I'm flocking. I've been avoiding using epoxy glue since it's not very forgiving when you make mistakes. I also have to try and not play with the hair until the glue dries.

Looking good man, looking good. I've found that if you water down the white glue a bit it lasts longer and won't skin on you...but it will still peel off real easy. I have had the best luck with epoxy try a 30 or 60 min epoxy, and keep posting those pics.

Strange, I see these pics and laugh because many of you are already much more advanced on you first runs than I was. I would look at mine and say, "I'm just never going to get this right!" My teacher, Rick would would say, "you're getting it!", but I didn't think so at the time. Then my friend Gary seemed to have it down early on and I was still not there. Practice, in the end made the difference, as with anything. I say this so you know, all of us have been down your road!
Excellent progress so far!

I only had it down fast because I bought nearly $700. in flock and practiced for 2 weeks while on vacation so it seemed like it was fast, but the colors I bought were not like yours. Still they weren't bad. Gary

I find the pure white the hardest to get right! Funny, I hate to apply the pure white. The pure white is the commercial color and was bought that way- not made by me (well none of it's made anymore by me), but through out white was always a bought color and for some reason it has always been more trouble to me to get the look right. Now I do a white mix which works excellent. It's a mix of pure white and raw white and it covers 100 times better without bleed through. The bleed through from the head makes me nuts and I've tinted the glue, painted the head and still it bugs me, but now with the purchase of this other color Raw white (which is a few shades lighter than may Cream white) a white head is much better. You're right Ray it does look good. Is that a 50/50 mix?

Thanks again Ray. Getting the mix ration correct is one of the keys to great looking flock.
