Hi Any way of dropping your kits to a fair market price? $25 a pop is a little steep, no? I think more ebayers would buy for $12 or $15 with the free shipping. I know I’m holding off because it only costs 5 bucks for a reflock. I would think it over because it could mean more sales to you. MM

Man, I wish I could get the costs down enough to do just that… But! If you look at the bottom line you will see it’s just not possible right now (at least on ebay).
Ebay fee= $3 per kit Paypal fee $1.20 per kit Shipping $2.50 to 3.00 per kit Cost to cut/dye/treat/mix $10. per kit Glue/bags/packing/bottles/tape/etc. $5. per kit $21.70 to $22.20 total cost per kit too make.
This isn’t even taking into account time/effort/travel! So you see I could not sell them on ebay and still make about the same amount of money off them. If it were not for the website sales and a slew or repeat customers, this whole service would have folded a week after it started. I do understand now why our former Joe flock maker stays on a need to know private bases. I’ve read on other websites where others have tried to debunk the kits and view me as trying to rip collectors off with a high price, but it’s not really the case at all. It just comes down to numbers and numbers never lie!
I could post a bunch of emails I’ve received from happy collectors who have been successful in repairing or re-flocking their Joes, but the proof is in the system and the product. These collectors loved Joe enough to take the time and learn something that was important to them (and to some a completely Greek concept), but still they stuck it out and with practice they learned it. That part is worth my time and effort more than a few dollars I’ve made. Also in the process I’ve been shown some great ideas and products that other talented collectors have or are doing.
Bottom line is I’m not a guy in this field- able to score stuff from work or able to get parts and materials to make the kits. I have to buy materials and go from there. I post the information freely so if a collector doesn’t want my kit he could still learn the process and find his/her own supply. Something I’ve found though is once they start finding out the hundreds of dollars it’ll end up costing them they come back and buy from us.
As far as Re-Flocks costing $5. Hey that’s great, but that is also for one head. If you learn the process and buy from us- you’ll be able to re-flock 4 or more in each color. Even if you go with the mini kit you’ll still get about 2 full re-flocks per color. Just more math- 20 heads for $25 (and some of your time) or $5 for 1 head and all the rest of your guys are sitting there waiting to be flocked.
Now that I’m in control of the color… I have to say, many that have bought our old color mixes (from when we started and had to buy the colors), they have seen nothing yet. I am almost at the point where I could sell a re-flocked head as an original and 99% would never know it and the other 1% could maybe guess. If it were not for the fact of vintage Joes being all rayon and ours are all nylon (now) most would never tell the difference. On spot repairs you could blend it in so well that you would forget that it was repaired over time.
This is all going to pass soon because the main part of the flock unit will be sold out (so I hear) and they do not plan to offer anymore. Even if you’re not ready for the kit, I would grab the Negative ION Generator before they are all gone for good!!! The next best model will cost you $100+ to buy.
