Hello, Great information. I watched your You Tube and see your flickr sets. I’m not into gijoe, but am interested in the flocking unit for war gamming miniatures. I wonder how I would apply this flock to my figure bases and gaming dioramas, meaning the grounding? Do you have green?

Hi, I don’t currently make any greens. Demand is just not high for it since greens are easy to find, but I do have experience in flocking pewter figure bases and war gamming boards. These work a bit different than flocking Joe heads and you would do better by making a hand held flocking unit, but a box unit would work on the bases. The Negative ION Generators are cheap enough from electronic goldmine to buy a few to make various units.
Yes the flock kit would work well for this application- especially if you mix the various colors with some green flock. For the best effect I would glue down some sand or sand paper even would work. Once dried I would mix some of the Air Adventurer mix with some black, a touch of Sea Adventurer mix and some Land mix. Paint some glue in spots, insert a pin (for grounding and clip to it) and flock those spots. Flock around those with some green (from the hobby store or ebay) and I think it’ll look perfect. For grasses etc. it’s best to use different sizes of flock fiber. Then play with the fibers a little with a toothpick because nature is not so uniform. Also on the figures themselves some flocked accents would look awesome. For example: manes on horses, plums on helmets, fur around collars, etc. Even for action figures this would work. Say you have a nice winter jacket. The Land Adventurer flock would be great around the hood or even a Indiana Jones jacket say, you could use the Air adventurer mix to fur up the collar. Just so many things it’s useful on out side of Joe heads. Good question thanks!
