Hi all, I'm hoping the guru's around here can help me..... I've been trying to flock some car door cards, without a lot of luck! First I used the acrylic glue supplied with the flock I ordered, applied the flock with a sieve. Once dry I shock of all the excess flock and it had thin coverage.
Next I tried the ballon type pump to apply the flock (also tried some heavy oil based paint as glue) better but still too thin.
Thinking it must be the applicator I built a neg ion type applicator, you guessed it still too thin on the coverage. Best of all the trials but still not what I want.
Really the only thing I think can be the issue is my applicator isn't powerful enough so the next step is to build a really powerful ion applicator. Is this what I need to do or am I missing something altogether?
When we use the ion type applicator do we still have to shake the flock onto the project or should the neg ions draw it out of the container?
Really appreciate any guidance you can give.
