Ray sent six freshly coiffed vintage and Timeless heads back to me yesterday, and here they are in all their finery: No effort was made to maintain vintage correctness: These are all Cotswold bodies and randomly selected clothes and accessories. I just wanted to create a more realistic version of what a late '70s "Adventure team" for hire might look like - no emblems, realistic gear and individual looks. Ray did two of them as customs - the three shade aging Sea Adventurer second from the left and the AA in tiger stripe. The AA's brown and brown/gray flock and skin color is supposed to look a bit like someone from India or Sri Lanka - maybe I'll give him a Sikh turban eventually. He did fantastic work on all of them. Thanks, Ray!

I really dig the gear. I can't count how many times collectors do similar customs. You would think Hasbro would jump on this concept of a modern Adventure Team using the old style head sculpt.
I'd be cool to have the basic figure to be dressed like your Land Adventurer with the tan shirt and jeans and each hair color would have various shirt colors. Heck, then they could go through every vintage set and update each one to fit into this era. It's good to have Cotswold around so we can get the stuff we need.
Good choice on the Cots bodies. They are a good solid body for a great price. Plus they don't have to be modified to fit a vintage head.
Great stuff. I envision this team coming together for global missions.
Thanks for posting.

Glad you like it! The only thing that I might be doing at all different (maybe not) is that I'm trying to use stuff that looks pre-1985 - no "tactical" gear or optics covered plastic firearms - Glock, SCAR, FN2000, etc. The Action Man bearded figures that come with a sweater and jeans got me thinking, as did some of the old Geyperman sets that had civilian clothers and Sterling SMGs. But it is hard to find stuff that isn't either vintage style, specific to the US in Vietnam or super modern looking. Really, WWII pieces often kitbash best. I think Hasbro would have to come up with a new and probably overly complicated story line to explain such a weird group - the old AT was a fun excuse to have Joe up to a lot of different stuff, but the Johnny Quest style background story wouldn't make as much sense nowadays. Everything is either museum grade military replications or pure fantasy - an action figure in jeans would seem so strange. I do need to find some better boots - those Cots jungles are ginormous, and won't fit under the trousers. I could also use more web gear and the like. I did ebay some additional bodies and ME heads on the cheap, so now I'll have to figure out what to have you do with those. I took the armaments out of an AH-6 to give the boys wings: Anyway, thanks taking a look, and thanks again for the excellent quality service!

That team looks good, but they'll need more long guns. Hunting rifles are still in style!
