I think that those sets have more to do with the collector club that it has to do with Hasbro. For that matter I think all of the club convention sets are way over priced. I think the biggest thing to hit the shelves in the last few years have been walmart GIjOEs and the 12" Indiana Jones figures, and they never got the walmart GIjOEs up here in Canada.. luckily I have a few good friends in the USA that sent me a set or two at cost...now that is great!!!

I like those convention sets but those prices are out of this world. Poor me will just have to make his own lol. I'm still having humidity issues but it's hard to avoid living in FL especially this time of year, I've got to blast the AC to get rid of the high humidity, my flock clumps before I even start.

Yeah that club has own little clique with Hasbro. They do need to step up on the flocking for sure if they're going to charge so much for the figures. I'm thinking about looking into Walmart through a friend importer over there. See if there is anyway to talk to someone interested in more A T Joes, etc.
See now you have the reverse issue that many have had. You'll have to let your flock sit in the A/C for 20 to 30 minute before flocking. The pic looks great, but pics can hide things. You'll need to get the flock under 80% humidity or even put a few small bags of silicate in your flock to draw out some moisture. In my work shop I made a 3 foot X 4 foot box with a lid and one end has a cut out that I put a small A/C in and condition the flock a little during the sticky summer months up here in the NE., but I did that even with store bought flock because some days it would have 90%+ RH in the shop. Then all hell breaks loose if you use a water based glue. Right now is the golden time up here. No extra effort for flocking and it should stay that way until August- Then Sept. thru late Oct. Nov. thru middle Mar. the humidifier goes on and so on it repeats.
