Thanks! yea, the wolfman was going to be done using very short on the face and features and longer around the head, but I never got around to ordering the shorter flock so once done I blew lightly on the flock to give it a grainy look like dog hair. Tarkin I do want to do again with 3mm or 4 mm and give it a combed back look with some stray wisps of hair at various spots.

I just read through the entire thread. I don't think that the price you charge is expensive in any way. The people that do are probably the ones that are just getting into it and think that they are gonna save a bundle doing their own flocks and that it is as easy as pushing a button and it is done. 1) you will save money...down the road a bit 2) there is a learning curve to it...it just doesn't happen all by itself. What Ray and Rob (don't mean to center you out) do to make it look effortless actually takes some time to learn how to do and make it look good...I'm still learning that. As with anything some people have a natural tendency toward one thing or another, and with others it takes more time to learn it. 3) If they have looked around and priced out other flocking companies..I'd like to know which ones, cause I'd like to place an order and get just much or more for cheaper!!!!!!! I like to save a buck as much as the next guy.
Anyway, back to the flockings. I really dig the Spock with the short flock he looks great. The short stuff looks great on the megos heads. How long is the short flock? Do you mix the colors or just use straight colors?

The short is .030 Rayon. I was thinking it was solid color until I looked at these pics and could see other colors in there. On the Cot's head I had dropped it into my storage tote (this is where the 2mm flock pieces on the head came from), but my point of doing this head with the short flock was to show on some 1/6th heads the short looks pretty cool. On most of the mego's it lets you see the hair texture that's under it. I need to finish a bunch more mego's. My son wants me to flock every figure he sees.
They are lint catchers though. You can see my son has been busy playing with them.

On this one the vintage flock that was left on it was a different shade. It had very dull highlights so I special mixed a different batch to make the reflock look like the original flock that was on the head (well what was left of it). Attachments:

It's always nice to see Joe's restored! I just love the Radiation Detection uniform with its bright colors. The camo uniform is so hard to find, I wish I could find one.
