Ok, this is cool as hell! It's the kind of next level stuff I love. I can't wait to reflock some of these. Maybe add a beard to the mask would be cool.

Can't wait to see what you, Ray, Traud and the other guys are going to do with the figure and his mask! I will try not to forget to renew my membership by march 16th 2012, so that I can receive my free one before it solds out! Have you ever flocked a secret agent mask?

I know I’ve had a bunch of guys asking me wtf with the “cool as hell” statement, but I’m looking at it like this. It’s a great enemy type for Joe and it keeps the wheels spinning for 12” Joe, plus a cool collectible Now I think they need to keep going with an A.T. theme basic figure with an optional mission set for each basic Joe. You have to think we’re never going to get 70’s A.T. Joe back like he was and since most of us have the old stuff or continue to find it anyway- it’s cool to have Joe keep going into the future. Right now , the Cotswold A.T. theme is the closest to vintage 70’s style and when I think of it I have 17+ year old Cots stuff around here ( to think Cotswold’s been around a long time). I guess the point is, as kids we rolled with the next thing and for 20 years you couldn’t get me to budge past vintage Joe. Oh, I would add other figures along the way, but Joe was Joe. Now, Joe can mean the past, future, and beyond. With that I figure let’s roll with it. After all we’re just looking for that awesome feeling of Christmas morning (it doesn’t matter what you called those special days in your household) you know the feeling. It’s that safe, carefree, everything is right in the world feeling that plastic and cardboard brings. Funny side note here, my son asked me what I was doing when I opened a 40th Action Man recently… I told him, “Come mere.” “Smell.” He said, “ahh”, smells good. I’m lucky in a sense because many of you create a “what’s in the box” feeling for me when a new batch comes in to be reflocked. Forgive me if I put a kids face to the return address name, but I can’t help it. I always wonder where the heads have been over the years. Some no doubt under a porch forgotten- others kept clean and safe. Fun stuff!
On that note, I see your heads are here monquegijoe... lol!
Never did the mask, but it's a cool thought.

Ray, nice words and nice memories. I don't have any kids yet, but I think when you share your Joes with your kids, it puts the collecting hobby into a whole new perspective, and it is pretty cool. I am not a "purist" vintage collector, as a matter a fact I really don't care if it is vintage or not, I enjoy my figures and I really like when there is a new "mythology" being written... For the bad guys, unfortunately the only one released by Hasbro US was the Intruder, but in Brazil and UK there were some others, but all in the Futuristic/Star Wars like lines. I think a bad guy for the AT line is really welcome. In this picture you can see all my "alien" bad guys together. (And sorry, I know this subject has nothing to do with flocking, but I just like talking with you guys! Attachments:

I tend to drift off topic almost everytime I post so don't worry this is a safe place for that (just don't get in the habit for other forums) they'll squawk about it. Here it's much more relaxed. The people here are from all walks of life. As long as it's pretty clean or toy it's cool!

I agree we need some enemies for Joe here in the states! All around the world other kids (now collectors) had the opportunity to have various bad guys not to mention cool accessories and sets.
