Just wondering what are the going prices of a GIjOE in the US, both nude and dressed not mint but decent? Up here in the great white north they run about $50-$65 and that is for a decent figure that has some minor rubs.

I would say that's right, but who knows really anymore. I buy -by the item meaning if it's something I need bad enough I'll pay whatever the price is. I hate waiting and always use buy it now. The funny thing about bidding is the item always will sell for more than the buy it now. Say you post a Joe for $50, but also give the option to bid. Buyers get caught in the heat of bidding and by the end of the auction you sell the Joe for $80- $100.

I hear you about the buy it now...but sometimes you can score some really cheap.
And I don't mean ebay. The right place at the right time you can pick up some great stuff sometimes dirt cheap. Anymore....$100 Joes pretty much have to be pristine and with a hard to find set, now there are exceptions black talker, bulletman and foreign soldiers series...at least that is what I've found.

You have to understand I remember a time when Joes had to be searched for and found (pre ebay) and you would pay hundreds for them. For every usable Joe you ended up with 30 that had rubs or broken parts. I used to travel state to state stopping everywhere looking for Joes. Gary and I would get permission to comb through old stores and warehouses around Pawtucket looking for the forgotten treasures. In a way I miss that because the hunt was fun. From doing that I was able to fine some cool old store stock boxed items.

I love the hunt for a good GIjOE treasure....but it just ticks me off going to 10 toy shows always hoping the next one is gonna be the ONE, it rarely happens but when it does it's a great feeling man, it's just great, it has that feeling that is all it's own.
