The main site gets to be a hassles at times because they've changed the nice easy system they had to a goofy system that works well of ipod, text, myspace kids. So, instead of fighting the system any longer, I've removed some stuff and put it over here!
NOTE: They do not sell the 12 volt Negative ION Generator any more. They only have the 120 volt model. They are not wired the same. If you wire the ground to the neutral wire you may be electrocuted!!!! I have built many model with the new 120 volt Neg. ION Generator, and tested them- below is how to wire it.
READ ME: We cannot be held responsible in any way shape or form for damages or injury, including death as a result of using, testing, or building this unit. IF you try to build, test, or use this unit you understand that it is free knowledge from various internet sites and no one has convinced or directed you to try and build it. We shall be and remain harmless from all civil and or criminal action. This information is not meant to cause harm in any way shape or form. It is intended to be used with model trains and dioramas and as a way to electro statically charge nylon and rayon flock for crafts and our various action figure heads. This free knowledge found on various sites on the internet is meant to be used by person(s) with knowledge and understanding of such information. IF you do not understand any of this information then do not attempt testing, building, or using any of the devices described.

Feed your 120-volt power cord through the hole drilled in the white PVC test cap.
Connect the Black wire (hot) to the black wire on the Neg. ION gen. Cap it and tape it up tight.
Connect the white wire (neutral) to the white wire on the neg. ION gen. Cap it and tape it up.
Connect the green wire (ground) to the wire with the alligator clip. Cap it and tape it up.
Feed the generator and taped up wires into the PVC pipe. (you may have to trim the plastic with the hole in it on the generator for it to fit. Do this carefully not to trim too much and break the sealed generator.)
Once the red wire comes through the PVC pipe- feed it through the other PVC test cap.
Then feed it through the hole you’ve made in the cup.
Hot glue gun the test caps on the pipe then the cap and pipe to the cup to seal and connect the pipe to the cup.
Now attach the terminal connector to the red wire.
Hot glue the metal screen to the cup cover that you cut a large round hole into. Make sure the red wire has enough length so that the terminal connector touched the metal screen.
Now test it by plugging the 120-volt power cord into the power strip (make sure it is off before you plug it in.) This power strip is your on and off switch for your flocking device, plus circuit breaker.
Now with the unit off attach a pin, nail, etc. to a piece of wood or cardboard. Attach the alligator clip to that pin or nail. Hold the Flocking unit away from you and never touch the metal screen or ground clip while the unit is on.
Flip the switch on the power strip to on. Now this unit is live so use caution. Move the units metal screen close to the ground clip and pin and you will see a spark high. Making a spark for this test just will sow you that it’s working. I don’t suggest doing it normally.
Flip the power strip switch to off ( would unplug it also for safety.) I also make it a habit to touch the screen end of the cup to a nail or screw driver on the work bench just to discharge the built up static charge which feels like a carpet shock.
Some information on the static charge that comes out of your home built unit. From what I’ve experienced with these units is the shock does feel like a carpet electro-static shock that we’ve all felt. This is supposed to be High Voltage low current as is a carpet shock, but I never trust that it’s harmless for one second. Why take the chance and play around. Use caution and think safety at all times. I wouldn’t drink anything around this device or have any liquid around to that could spill. I would not use this device without a power strip that is working perfectly and that has a ground fault type breaker on it. Don’t use it in a place with things that could ignite or explode. Use you head with this stuff!!!
Now you can fill the cup with flock, either use a ground plate or attach the clip to the neck of the GI JOE- apply adhesive and shake the unit over the glue until it’s filled tight with flock. Practice, Practice.
GOOD LUCK! FOCKING GI JOE!!!!
