Electricity arcing in flocking machine

Hi Guys, 


Im fairly new to flocking, I was outside flocking a panel and I noticed that there was a noise coming from inside the machine. I opened the bottom of it and I can see the spark arcing from the earthing cable to the positive wire.


Would this affect the flock when im applying it to the panel? Im gonna see if I can fix this.
