Just got my new flocking machine and 'almost' ready to do my first flock, however I'm unsure about the actual earthing part, As far as I'm aware it's just a case of sticking a needle into the part that's to be flocked then connecting the little crocadile clip from the earth into it so that it gets an electric charge from the flocker.
Does the Crocadile clip from the earthing strap get attached to the same needle that the crocadile clip from the machine is attached to?
I'm a bit new to this and don't like messing with electric at the best of times! ;D

Yes the ground clip needs to either touch the adhesive in some way or be underneath the piece to be flocked (at least close enough to be in between the charged fibers and their path to ground).
The short of it is. The High Voltage charges the fibers. The fibers then want to find ground (earth). What ever is grounded with wet adhesive or at least in it's path will be coated with fibers.

Ok Thanks, I'll try experimenting with it on little things like coat hangers and stuff for a while. :0
