I my opinion one of the great things about this board is that once you log on you only have like 8 discussion areas....and that is great some boards you go to have up to 20+ while they area great boards, I find that to be to time consuming to go through all the areas and figure out which area you "have to" post in...you know you can only talk about this in this area and not that.....etc
Anyway a BIG thank you to Ray for firing this board up. Again this is only one reason that this board is great!

Thanks! I think the other boards cover nearly everything outside of flocking and for some Flock repair is a big deal and if you are into flocking most of the other boards get tired of hearing about flock, or glue, or tricks and tips for flocking. I understand it because if you're not into flocking it's a pretty boring subject. My goal with this was to make a safe haven for flockers and those who want to try it out for themselves. As you know first hand tracking down any information on the subject has always been a task. Everyone had answers, but most of those quick answers were wrong. I also think that some have tried to pass along mis-information to keep others out. In the end I'd like there to be Multi-sized flock offered at collector affordable prices directly from the suppliers without minimum orders or hassles. I hope that some of these suppliers say, "hey if this guy can make it and there is a market... maybe we should jump in." I'd love to just buy it all without the hassles of making it. Hell I would supply the flock companies the sample colors to copy... just put it out there and we'll buy it. The way I see it is- I'm becoming what I was against at the start of this... meaning buyers come to me looking for a close match and this makes me basically the sole source, like before you had to go to a reflocker to get Joe fixed and there was no way around it. I would hope that a few of you out there would be enterprising enough to take some of my colors and look for other ways to get them. I would. I do want to thank all the followers and buyers. You have kept this going and I never get tired of seeing your works- success or failure. It's nice to see motivated collectors thinking outside the box getting things done with such creativity. Example, many of you don't just drop $25 on a chewed up Dog tag on ebay. Some of you made your own. Some have made heads, hats, ... you name it. For me to slide in among these creative people is amazing and I thank you all. Sorry for the soap box statements! Ray

I kind of get the feeling that I don't want to bore the other people with all the flock stuff I do. Sometimes you think that some of the people think you are rubbing something in their faces...I don't know. I got into the flocking thing to fix my own GIjOEs first and foremost. Mostly to see If I could do it....the same thing with the molding. I needed some parts and wasn't going to pay the outlandish prices on ebay so....I made my own. There was a lot of piss off and mind your own business there to. Trial and error was the I went...its gets expensive but in the end it is very satisfying the same thing with the flocking.
