1. Here's a Bulletman I did for Gary. The Helmet and arms were airbrushed by me with a special chrome paint. Attachments:

WOW! This is even better looking than I imagined! Nice work!
I remember someone asking about this very thing somewhere. Maybe it was on FB or the Trenches!

Thanks Ray. There was a lot of sanding involved to get a very smooth finish. The airbrushed chrome paint really worked well. I've been in touch with a guy who does real chroming. I'm going to send some casts to see if it works with the chrome process. If it does you'll be seeing some cool stuff.

I made some casts of the hurricane spotter mape case. I'm still playing with the color. The one on the left looks to be the right shade. If you want one let me know. Rob Attachments:

I did a repair for my own signal flasher. I pulled the rotten battery box and replaced it with a new one. I also replaced one wire and soddered it. The new battery box looks like it was always there. Let me know what you think of the repair. Attachments:

This is some great looking stuff here. Rob you bring repairs to a new level. It looks like it came from the package with a little cleaning.

Ray, I tried to fix the original battery box, but it was very rotten. I remembered awhile back that monquegijoe had asked for help to repair his flasher. I offered to help, but then he found some information and pictures from the trenches site. The information was good, but no final picture of how the battery boxes were mounted in the flasher. I went to my local Radio Shack and I saw that they had a battery box that was double batteries, not single. I liked that better a re-engineered it to fit perfect. I also replace some wires and soddered them back. Overall it looked and worked great!

That's good stuff Rob. Funny how many of these parts can make or break our collection efforts. Ya know that little piece that's missing from a set that bugs the hell out of you and most times you end up with 5 of the same set just to put one set together.
Replacement parts work like magic. Especially these days as vintage parts dry up or are priced out of reach for most it's nice to have the option of a replacement. Then down the line if a vintage part shows up you can sell or trade off the replacement and so on, but at least you get to use the part in the meantime.
Nice work. Ray

Ray,
I make these parts to help the collector who's just starting or who can't afford a real one. The repro parts look great and do the job. To be honest I could pass it off as a original because it looks very nice. I won't do that because I'm honest. I may offer the parts on Ebay at a good price, but I let people know it's a reproduction.

Hurricane Spotter Repros I made. These are just test items and still need to be the tweaked to correct colors. Overall they're not bad if you don't want to spend a ton of money. I also need to make the decal for the radar unit. I did speak to someone who makes decals on Ebay and I'm waiting to hear back. Members of the forum, let me know what you think. Thanks, Robert Attachments:

Here's some pictures of a Bulletman I put together with the arms I reproduced and had chromed. I made the helmet as well and had chromed. Very hard to do with hours of prep work. Overall a very beautiful figure. No scratches on the chrome as you'd get with the expensive played with figure on Ebay. Let me know what you think. Attachments:

I don't know the size, but maybe when I get a chance I'll bring my screw to the Hardware store and see if I can find a match. I'll let you know. Rob

Rob, that is some amazing work! It also looks like you are a step ahead of me on the bulletman chroming...I was going to do the same thing.
