It would work for a box or tray type using crispy new flock fibers and 65% relative humidity in the room. May not be strong enough for a shaker type. This other looks to be stronger: eBay item number: 131554899842 at 9.5Kv

Thanks so much for the link Ray! Yeah I'll go with this one.. I'm building a box/tray (as per your recommendation) anyways, but I wanna make sure what I'm using is strong enough. I am brand new to this flocking thing, but am so excited I found this resource for information and guidance. Can't wait to get flocking. I'll post some results once I get things going. Thanks for doing all that you do and putting this info out there and helping guys like me! It's really cool. -stavros

Where do you suggest getting g the negative ion generator in your video? Or have you come across a better one?
Thanks, Scott

I would try either Amazing Power or Electronic Gold Mine from our links page and get something from there.
You'd have to do more research, but I believe the ground coming out of the High Voltage side would only be needed when using the HV unit as a HV power supply to run something like a light or High Voltage motor etc.
