;D WOW! WOW! I've spent so much money over the years on getting my gijoes fixed up and was happy to do it, but they always looked like they were fixed up. Now they look like they should. Im thinking maybe I will send the my old refuzz heads and have you fuzz them up again. Just too happy. Thank you Thank you!!!! I would like to try your kit, but I don't know if I can. I have a pace maker in this old chest???
Thank you Mark

Gee, that was fast. I think the USPS is getting ready for the christmas rush and pushing the mail out faster. I'm glad you are happy. I wouldn't try it if you have a pacemaker. I don't know if it'll do anyting, but it's not something that you can just test out ! Although I forgot to shut the switch and was cleaning out the flock cabinet and was zapped by the electrode ball and it wasn't even as strong as say a static rug shock. I don't recommend anyone try this at all, but I've been shocked by a hell of a lot more things (like cords and outlets, etc.) and this was nothing. I had a joke gum packet when I was a kid that you gave more of a shock.

Hey we all look at those big ticket Joes with our tongues hanging out or go though 30 figures just hoping to get nice one. Nice to see that after so much hard work, it’s finally getting some recognition. I mill over various vintage flocked heads all the time and my pantone color chart is always close by (would you believe that these pantone charts are $200+ a pop) can’t live without it though. Seems every batch gets better and better. I think that the current color mixes, combined with the mix packets could match 99% of the Joe heads. Just the base alone now come real close to most. Thanks for the ego boost and send more in the future. Now, unless the head is ruined in some way, you can have it perfect again with a simple re-flock! Ray
Thanks, I think the fly swatter method is good for spot repairs (having never tried it), but I’m sure you could rework it into a cabinet or box system and get an even more plush result. I’m just like anyone else using the kit, but I think my main success is going with the flock cabinet system because I’m a tad lazy and rather move the piece around instead of shaking the flocker around and moving the piece. Also bending the ground plate at 45 degrees on the sides combined with a round (ball) electrode- the flock has no where to go except into the glue. One member who uses the fly swatter method puts two sifters to make a ball shaped cage for the flock- he said it stops the flock from spilling over the sides without getting charged. Seems to make sense. Yet another buyer is using a Motts sliced apple container as his cabinet. Many things can work. They do not have to look pretty as long as they work for you. I like hearing about these things because even if they fail the first time some of the ideas are very interesting to me. Trust me I failed many times before I had success and each failure was a success because through it I learned what not to do. So to me there are no stupid or foolish questions. Each situation is different because of outside factors like climate in certain areas of the world. I’m in the north east USA and around October thru March, I have to use different tricks to overcome the dryness of the air because of having the heat on. I use a humidifier or even blow a little steamy air into the cabinet. Then at times the glue acts up and I’ll get what is called “felting” this is when the flock sits on top of the adhesive and doesn’t penetrate it. This will really make you nuts because it looks so full and good, but brushes right off when the glue has dried. Through one of our buyers though I found out that 30 minute 2 part epoxy never felts and I have to say he’s been right so far. I was trying to put off learning a new adhesive process, but it wasn’t bad- just different. Now in about 30 seconds I can coat an entire head and have it flocked in just under a minute more. Everything has a learning curve. I wish now, I paid more attention in chemistry class… lol! Ray

I had Ray re-flock several heads and they're perfect! The flock color is right on! My Air Adventurer is now like It was when I received it in 1971. Ray is a good person who answers questions and is a prompt with customers! The best flocking out there!

I appreciate that. Thanks! When you make that comment about your Air Adventurer I feel like I helped bring back an old friend. I have to say, in 1971-72 I was given my first Air Adventurer and it’s funny because in my memory of him he looked exactly like the painting on his box. As we get older we tend to forget that “in a kids eyes” goggles we used to have that saw Joe as a living breathing Adventurer. I have to mention that you’re extremely talented in reproducing GI JOE accessories. Robert has sent me a nice stash of these items and I was very impressed by them. I love seeing the talents of GI Joe collectors. Whether it’s dog tags, guns, helmets, decals, or even something completely different, like a photo story or kit bashed vehicle- it’s makes me proud to be a part of this hobby. Thanks, Ray

Ray, I kept these GIJoes all these years hoping one day they would be like they were in my childhood. I am so happy now that they look that way again. It took a while to decide if I should send them because so many times I see the hair does not look like original hairs but this was the best choice I make. I will tell everyone to use your service. You have great work. It makes me not worry to buy more gijoes to fix up. If anyone needs this service do not wait. You will be happy with rays work. Flockconcepts is the best thanks! God Bless you and your family. Your friend Anthony G

Thank you Anthony and thanks for the blessings we all can use a blessing or two in our lives. This is what I rant about in some of my posts- getting that excited fun feeling back into this hobby. It's cool to see people reunited with their childhood friends and cool to hear the stories that go with the heads that come in the mail. I think many kids today miss out on what GI JOE meant and means to many of us. Granted, Hasbro was all about sales, but in creating GIJOE they made a timeless icon for imagination. GIJOE had no set rules and no boundaries. You could toss him into a beach bag and take him along on a hot summer day in the sand. If it was raining the couch and floor made an equally cool adventure spot. Even if you only had one Joe the adventures were limitless. This went on all over the world. I see pictures on the web of collections and the collections that hold my interest the most are not the minty-crispy boxed or package Joes lined on walls (thought they are no less fantastic), but it’s the pics with a few battle harden Joes on the floor of someone’s house or vintage pics from the 70’s with kids playing with GI JOE and the sofa is a cliff or the kitchen floor is the sea- some building blocks are a wall for Joe to hide behind and this is not limited to GI JOE (in whatever size and name he has all over the world), but it also goes for Mego, Star Wars, Big Jim, etc. I guess the point I’m trying to make is “excitement of play value”. We didn’t have 24/7 Disney Channel, DVD’s or video games that were so involved that they took up all our time. Our time was spent dreaming up new adventures to fill our summers and weekends. All with a GIJOE standing guard on a nightstand in our bedrooms as we slept. Sad thing today is my son can’t bring a GI JOE to school for show and tell. It’s creepy that with all the crap on TV and in the schools- something like GIJOE is not welcome. Something is wrong with that picture… Ray

Thanks for the kind words Fran. Good to hear!

On a side note: I may be able to patch those other two from your pics. I'd really have to see them though first. If the super glue didn't get into the vintage flock too much it may be alright, but most times I have to clear all that out to an even place and work from there. That may just mean the beards will be replaced leaving the vintage top head hair. not a bad trade off.

hi all I didn't have flock service, but I want to thank you for the pulsar items. I do wonder how pulsar would look with flock hair. I am thinking about sending you a six million dollar man to flock. Not to sure how it'll look though? thank you

Thanks!
If you look around this forum (or even join it) I'm pretty sure you will see some reflocked Steve Austins. My opinion would be to have them flocked in the short flock not the Joe size flock. This way it'll keep the hair sculpt texture and add a nice velvet look.
