Quick question here.
Denier and Decitex:
I believe that basically denier is the length of the fiber? Decitex or Dtex is equal to diameter or is it a measure of length as well? Something like money they use pounds in the UK and dollars in North America. I've just noticed UK uses decitex and the US uses denier. Any help?
Or is it one of those speed/velocity and weight/mass kind of things ;D

I'm pretty sure they mean about the same thing. Kind of a, "you say tomato I say tomatto" thing going on there. Examples are (from email quotes I've received)
I know that when buying 15 denier they always say it's a duller finish than the 20. Then there is trilobal which sparkles when the light hits it. In the end I think it's a case of industry language that tends to keep outside people away either intended or by it's nature. Some suppliers are hobbyist friendly and others want you to jump through hoops before you can even talk to them. Sad part is that some of the cheapest suppliers are the hardest to deal with- many only deal with the higher priced retail suppliers. Some of those wholesale types sell for $3 USD a pound and the retail price jumps to 10 times that in some cases. Look at some of the static grass prices not all, but some are way over priced. I've rated the suppliers I've dealt with on the links page to help people out. Some that I've dealt with didn't even make the links page at all.
