Most know this, but I do get whole bodies sent to me for Re-Flocking. I look at the shipping some pay and decided to make a little video showing simple tools to take the head off if it's a hard head or a AT head that just doesn't want to pop off. I do not take credit for this method and do not even remember where I first saw it done.

Another way to remove the heads is to heat it with a hair dryer or soak in hot water. This will make the rubber more flexible. I then wrap the head post with cloth and clamp it with a adjustable pliers. The cloth prevents any damage from the pliers. It should come off easier. If it's really stubborn I use a small screw driver and pry it off gently. I found that the Canadian Joes are harder to remove.

I have those tools as well. Pretty much, I think that like this are the evolution of the GIjOE collector, ans they do make the job easier.

Yea, I was surprised to see that many do not have them or know about them. I can't take any credit for the idea and sadly can't remember where I first saw it. It's like something that has just always been around, but it sure does come in handy. I posted it mainly because some were sending the whole figure (which is ok, but it costs them higher shipping) and some collectors have damaged various hard heads while trying to take the heads off the neck post. The heads can stay on the neck post because I have sticks to hole them that way. I've been finding that what some of us think as old school and take for granted many times is totally new to others. I welcome any and all tips. There is just so many of them scattered around it'd be nice to have them or the links to them in a few general places.
